Hendon Show

A great show and a credit to the members who supported the club, and particulalry to our dynamic duo of Peter (Batman?) and Robin. I for one had a great time and was very impressed with the Hornchurch display. Hope we get the chance to visit next year!

Generally in the conversations amongst members it was agreed that we have a very good committee and that we are lucky to be in that situation. The best advert for the club is that we are a happy club. Long may it continue. To the Committe, take a bow.

I had a mind blowing show and can see the appeal in Aircraft modelling having seen such fantastic aircraft up close and personal... the highlights for me were surly the Lancaster,, Vulcan, Vampire and the chipmunk... and the Bristol Fighter...

As some may know I have recently been sidetracked from my usual car modelling to doing aircraft of the Irish Air Corps... and was fortunate to find a wonderful Hawker Hind kit at the show... however between my haste and lack of research meant I purchased a 1/48th Tiger Moth only to discover the IAC never fly the bugger... (I also previously at Southern Expo bought a Vampire knowing they did fly them but I needed a 2 seat trainer and not the single seat fighter... Doh)

So the upshot is that I now have a couple of 1/48 aircraft going spare... I might let my girl loose on them... ha ha
